| at normal driving speeds, except maybe that it seems to coincide the drone rpms (~2.2k) at certain typical speed limits like 35 and 45 mph Take a look at what a T56-style overdrive would mean for cruising rpms at 75mph....then consider that in reality with most of today's highways at 70 mph speed limits (in the US anyway) most people are cruising closer to 80 mph if not right at 80 mph. The stock transmission was clearly designed and is suited for the 55 mph world of the 1980's. Most T56's, according to wikipedia anyway, are between 0.74 and 0.8 for 5th gear and 0.5 and 0.6 for 6th gear. Obviously there comes a point where the gearing is too tall and the motor will bog, and so the question is whether a 0.6:1 6th-gear is too tall for a Z32 TT? I don't know the answer, but if it isn't to tall for the motor then it looks to be a perfect addition IMO.
